I Do Not Condone Stealing In The Name Of God – John Dramani Mahama Speaks On National Cathedral

John Dramani Mahama is a great Ghanaian politician who served as president of Ghana from 24th July 2012 to 7th January 2017.

Previously, he served as vice president of Ghana from January 2009 to July 2012, and took office as president on 24th July 2012 following the death of his predecessor,  John Evans Fiifi Attah Mills.

President Nana Akufo-Addo promised God a national cathedral before he became the president of Ghana.

On Friday, 28th December 2018, fundraising campaign was launched at the forecourt of the state house, Accra. 

The national cathedral was set to be commissioned on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 but due to reasons known by the government, the cathedral has not been completed.

Formal President, John Dramani Mahama during his two hours questions and answers with the media was asked a question about the national cathedral after he revealed he won’t abandon uncompleted project by the government. 

He revealed that, he ( John Dramani Mahama) does not condone stealing in the name of God so when he is voted he will look into the national cathedral project again.

He stated that, Nana Akufo- Addo promised not to use state money for the construction of the national cathedral but as at now billions of USD coming from the state account has been used.
